Sens Training Camp
A crappy summer with a lot of rain, so I was actually looking forward to training camp this year. No Karlsson since he has the bum foot. Went yesterday, but they all showed up early and only got the newcomer, Johnny Oduya. I said "Screw it" and came back today.
Showed up early and missed Danny Taylor (who I got on the way out). Most players said they'd sign on the way and for the most part kept their word (Derick Brassard sprinted from his truck to the door since he was late). Going in I got Chris DiDomenico, Andrew Hammond, Marcus Hogberg, Tom Pyatt, Bobby Ryan, Nate Thompson and Kyle Turris. Alex Burrows refused all Vancouver items and I had nothing else for him.
The security guards put up a make shift barricade, which was four pylons and caution tape which one of the players called "The rope of death." Apparently, according to Mike Condon, one of the psycho girl hounds that comes sometimes was running around the parking lot trying to get somebody and almost got hit by one of the players (he probably could've made a better effort, but that's just my opinion).
I went inside for a bit to watch practice and cool off. Came back out and Brassard walked over. He signed my Ottawa card and hesitantly signed a Columbus card. He apparently only signs Ottawa stuff, but he didn't want to look like a douche since he was signing multiples for people. I also got Cody Ceci, Dion Phaneuf, Nick Paul, Danny Taylor, Chris VandeVelde, Zack Smith and Craig Anderson. I missed Mike Blunden twice as I was getting other people. I traded one of my Taylor cards for a Condon, since I had nothing for him. I would've if my printer wasn't printing all of my photos red.
